Ermolin Rem Nikolaevich

Rem Nikolaevich Ermolin was a Soviet painter and People's Artist of the RSFSR (1985). He graduated from the I. E. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Leningrad (1960) under V. M. Oreshnikov. For many years, he headed the Board of the Union of Artists of the Komi ASSR. He actively participated in regional, all-Union, and international exhibitions (Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Romania, Mongolia, Bulgaria). His solo exhibitions were held in Moscow, Syktyvkar, and Lovech. His works are preserved in the National Gallery of the Republic of Komi.
