Zhukovsky Stanislav Yulianovich

1875 — 1944
Stanislav Yulianovich Zhukovsky (1875–1944) was a landscape painter, educator, and master of interiors and still lifes. He studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture under V.D. Polenov, I.I. Levitan, and S.A. Korovin. He became an academician in 1907 and was a member of the Partnership of Traveling Art Exhibitions and the Union of Russian Artists. In 1909, he was awarded a gold medal at the Munich International Exhibition. After 1917, he served on the artistic council of the Tretyakov Gallery and the Commission for the Preservation of Monuments. From 1923, he lived and worked in Poland.
