Malyutin Sergey Vasilyevich

Sergey Vasilyevich Malyutin (1859–1937) was a painter, graphic artist, educator, and Honored Artist of the RSFSR. He graduated from the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, where he studied under V. E. Makovsky and E. S. Sorokin. He worked as an artist for S. I. Mamontov's Private Opera and was involved in book illustration and decorative arts. He became an academician in 1914, a member of the 'World of Art' group, and one of the organizers of the AKhRR (Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia). He taught at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture and the State Free Art Studios.
