Kostandi Kiriak Konstantinovich

Kiriak Konstantinovich Kostandi (1852–1921) was a painter and educator, known for his genre paintings. He studied at the Academy of Arts from 1874 to 1882, receiving the title of Class Artist of the 3rd degree. From 1885, he taught at the Odessa Drawing School and the local art college. In 1890, he became one of the organizers of the Society of South Russian Artists. He was a member of the Peredvizhniki (Society for Traveling Art Exhibitions) from 1897. In 1907, he was awarded the title of Academician.
