Vasin Vladimir Alekseevich

1918 — 2006
Vladimir Alekseevich Vasin (1918–2006) was a painter and master of easel painting. He studied at the 1905 Memorial Art School (1934–1938) and at VGIK under F. Bogorodsky (1939–1943). From 1943, he taught at VGIK. He created thematic paintings, portraits, landscapes, and still lifes. He began exhibiting in 1945, participating in the All-Union Art Exhibition (1950) and the "Soviet Russia" exhibition (1960). His works have been exhibited in Italy, Canada, Sweden, Poland, Germany, Japan, and France. His works are held in the State Tretyakov Gallery and regional museums.
