Kutilin Vladimir Alexandrovich

Vladimir Alexandrovich Kutilin is a Soviet painter and graphic artist, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, and a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1962). He graduated from the Kostroma Art School and the Surikov Moscow Art Institute (studying under D. P. Pokarzhevsky, E. P. Efanov, and K. M. Maximov). His work is inextricably linked to Kostroma. He is the author of works such as "Shift," "Thirst," and a portrait of P. A. Malinina. He is a proponent of the classical school of painting. His works are held in the State Tretyakov Gallery and the Kostroma Regional Museum of Fine Arts.
