Falk Robert Rafailovich
1886 — 1958
Robert Rafailovich Falk was a Soviet painter and a key member of the "Jack of Diamonds" group. He studied under V. A. Serov and K. A. Korovin and taught at Vkhutemas. Falk's work consists primarily of landscapes, still lifes, and portraits characterized by subtle color plasticity and psychological depth. He worked extensively as a theatrical set designer, collaborating with the State Jewish Theater, the Mossoviet Theater, and others. His work reflects a deep understanding of the Moscow urban atmosphere and the spiritual focus of his subjects.
