Dobrynin Pyotr Semyonovich
1876 — 1948
Pyotr Semyonovich Dobrynin (1876–1948) was a painter and graphic artist. He graduated from the Kazan Art School (1902) and the Academy of Arts (1911), where he studied under F. A. Roubaud, K. A. Savitsky, and I. E. Repin. He began exhibiting in 1908. From 1918 to 1923, he lived in Simbirsk and taught at IZOMUZOTEO. He is known for his Volga landscapes, watercolors depicting Lenin-related sites, and a series of drawings documenting the famine in the Simbirsk Governorate (1921–1922), which are held in the Ulyanovsk Regional Museum of Local Lore.
