Uchaev Anatoly Vasilyevich

Anatoly Vasilyevich Uchaev is a Soviet and Russian painter, People's Artist of the RSFSR, and laureate of the I. E. Repin State Prize of the RSFSR. He graduated from the Saratov Art College (1964) and the I. E. Repin Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1970). Since 1970, he was a member of the Saratov organization of the Union of Artists of Russia, serving as chairman of its board from 1981 to 1989. He was a member of the Presidential Commission for State Prizes in the field of literature and art. Key works include: "The Winner" (1977), "Grain Month" (1979; 1991–1992), "Under the Sky of Russia" (1995), and the "Volga" landscape series (2000).
