Savrasov Alexey Kondratyevich

Alexey Kondratyevich Savrasov (1830–1897) was a landscape painter, educator, and one of the founders of the lyrical landscape in Russian painting. He studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture under K. I. Rabus. In 1854, he received the title of Academician. From 1857 to 1882, he taught at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. He was a founding member of the Peredvizhniki (Society for Traveling Art Exhibitions).
