Ryabushinsky Nikolai Pavlovich

1877 — 1951
Nikolai Pavlovich Ryabushinsky (1877–1951) was a painter, graphic artist, and patron of the arts. He created landscapes, still lifes, and portraits, and initiated the Blue Rose and Golden Fleece exhibitions. He was also involved in literature and music, writing critical articles under the pseudonym N. Shinsky. In the 1900s, he became a central figure in organizing exhibitions that fostered progressive trends in Russian painting and its integration into the global art movement. In 1922, he emigrated to France, where he continued his creative work and antique business.
