Pakhomov Andrey Alexeevich

Andrey Alexeevich Pakhomov (born 1947) is a graphic artist, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, and associate professor. From 1965 to 1971, he studied at the Faculty of Graphics of the I. E. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Since 1984, he has taught lithography at the institute, and since 2002, he has served as the head of the Department of Graphics and director of a personal workshop for book graphics. He has participated in over 150 exhibitions in Russia and abroad. He is the author of easel and book works, including the series 'Sappho', 'Anacreon', 'Plato', and 'Figure'. His works are held in the Hermitage, the Russian Museum, and other collections. He is the initiator of the 'Rare Book from St. Petersburg' publishing house.
