Daryin Gennady Alexandrovich

Gennady Alexandrovich Daryin (1922–2012) was a Soviet and Russian artist, Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1978), and People's Artist of Russia (2003). He had been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1954. He graduated from the Yaroslavl Art School (1941) and the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1951). He participated in numerous exhibitions since 1951 and was a recipient of the M. A. Opekushin Regional Prize. His works are held in the collections of the Institute of Russian Realist Art, the Yaroslavl Art Museum, the Omsk Vrubel Regional Museum of Fine Arts, the Ryazan Pozhalostin State Regional Art Museum, the Tula Museum of Fine Arts, the Chelyabinsk Regional Art Gallery, and the Rybinsk Regional Art Gallery.
