Zykov Anatoly Ivanovich

Anatoly Ivanovich Zykov (1930–2008) was a graphic artist, painter, and People's Artist of the RSFSR. He graduated from the I. E. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1955), studying under M. A. Taranov, L. F. Ovsyannikov, and P. P. Belousov. He is known for his book illustrations (works by N. V. Gogol, M. Gorky, M. A. Sholokhov, and L. N. Tolstoy) and graphic series, including cycles dedicated to A. S. Pushkin. He was awarded a diploma from the USSR Academy of Arts (1986) and a silver medal from the Russian Academy of Arts (2000).
