Zhukov Nikolai Nikolaevich
1908 — 1973
Nikolai Nikolaevich Zhukov (1908–1973) was a graphic artist, People's Artist of the USSR, corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Arts, and a state prize laureate. He is known for his front-line sketches, illustrations for Boris Polevoy's 'A Story About a Real Man,' and his extensive series of works on V.I. Lenin. From 1943 to 1946, he led the Grekov Studio of Military Artists and documented the Nuremberg Trials, producing over two hundred sketches. He was awarded the Order of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner of Labour, and the Order of the Red Star.
