Trutovsky Konstantin Alexandrovich

Konstantin Alexandrovich Trutovsky was a painter and graphic artist, a master of the genre style, and an illustrator of I. A. Krylov's fables. He attended classes at the Academy of Arts from 1845 to 1849 as a student of F. A. Bruni. In 1856, he received the title of non-class artist. From 1857, he was a member of the Royal Belgian Watercolor Society. In 1860, he was awarded the title of Academician for his painting Round Dance in Kursk Province. He dedicated many works to Ukrainian themes. From 1871 to 1881, he served as an inspector at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture.
