Timm Vasily Fyodorovich
1820 — 1895
Vasily Fyodorovich Timm was a painter, draftsman, lithographer, illustrator, and caricaturist. He was the publisher of the 'Russian Art Sheet' (Russky Khudozhestvenny Listok). He studied at the Academy of Arts (1834–1839). From 1843 to 1848, he was an Academy pensioner in Paris, where he studied under Horace Vernet. In 1855, he was named an academician for his watercolors and drawings dedicated to the defense of Sevastopol. He also held the title of professor at the Prussian Academy of Arts.
