Stozharov Vladimir Fedorovich

1926 — 1973
Vladimir Fyodorovich Stozharov was a painter, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, and corresponding member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR. He graduated from the V. I. Surikov Moscow State Art Institute in 1951. He was one of the creators of the peasant still life in 20th-century Russian art. He was a laureate of the I. E. Repin State Prize of the RSFSR (1968) and received a silver medal from the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1967). He participated in the 33rd Venice Biennale (1966). His works are held in the Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and numerous regional museums across Russia and the CIS.
