Solomin Nikolai Nikolaevich

Nikolai Nikolaevich Solomin (born 1940) is a painter, People's Artist of the RSFSR, and laureate of the State Prize of the RSFSR. He graduated from the V. I. Surikov Moscow State Art Institute (V. G. Tsyplakov's studio). From 1969 to 1998, he worked at the M. B. Grekov Studio of Military Artists, serving as its director from 1989. He is the author of numerous genre paintings, portraits, and dioramas. He participated in the painting of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. His works are represented in major museum collections in Russia and abroad.
