Sokolov Pyotr Fyodorovich
1791 — 1848
Pyotr Fyodorovich Sokolov was a painter and master of watercolor portraiture. From 1800 to 1810, he studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts under V. K. Shebuyev. In 1809, he was awarded a small gold medal for his painting 'Andromache Mourning the Slain Hector' and received a first-degree certificate for the title of class artist. In 1839, he was granted the title of Academician of watercolor portrait painting.
