Semiradsky Henryk Ippolitovich

1843 — 1902
Semiradsky Henryk Ippolitovich (1843–1902) was a painter known for his historical, classical, and religious subjects. He studied at the Academy of Arts from 1864 to 1870, receiving a large gold medal in 1870. He became an academician in 1873 and a professor in 1877. He was awarded the Grand Prix at the 1878 Paris World's Fair and was a knight of the Legion of Honor. He was a member of several European art academies and became a full member of the Imperial Academy of Arts in 1893.
