Savostyuk Oleg Mikhailovich

Oleg Mikhailovich Savostyuk (1927) is a graphic artist, painter, and master of monumental-decorative art, People's Artist of the RSFSR, and professor. He graduated from the V. I. Surikov Moscow State Academic Art Institute in 1953. Since 1951, he worked as a poster artist, collaborating with major publishing houses. He taught at the Surikov Institute and headed the Department of Graphics. He is the author of numerous posters, playbills, painting series (such as 'Ballet' and 'Border Guards of Karelia'), and portraits. His works are held in the collections of the Tretyakov Gallery, the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, and other museums in Russia and abroad.
