Ostrova Lidia Alexandrovna

Lidia Alexandrovna Ostrova was a Russian Soviet artist, painter, and graphic artist, and a member of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists. She graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1939) in the studio of I. Brodsky. She participated in exhibitions starting in 1939 and taught at the I. E. Repin Institute and the Leningrad Art and Pedagogical School. The main themes of Ostrova's work were music, theater, children, and flowers. Her works are held in the State Russian Museum, as well as in private collections in Russia, the USA, Japan, and Europe.
