Lanceray Evgeny Evgenyevich

Evgeny Evgenyevich Lanceray was a graphic artist, painter, and educator, known for his book and easel compositions, monumental murals, and theatrical sets. He studied at the School of the Society for the Encouragement of the Arts (1892–1893) and in Paris (1895–1896). A member of the 'World of Art' group since 1898, he became a full member of the Academy of Arts in 1915. He taught at the Tbilisi Academy of Arts (1922–1934) and the Moscow Architectural Institute. He was a Merited Artist of the Georgian SSR (1933), People's Artist of the RSFSR (1945), and a USSR State Prize laureate (1941).
