Kosmin Ivan Vladimirovich

Ivan Vladimirovich Kosmin (1882–1973) was a painter, graphic artist, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Arts, and professor. In 1926, he graduated from the Higher Art Workshops at the Academy of Arts in Leningrad (V. E. Makovsky's studio). From 1929 to 1932, he was a member of the Union of Soviet Artists. He worked primarily in pastel, creating portraits of government officials, figures of science and culture, and laborers.
