Korzukhin Alexey Ivanovich
1835 — 1894
Alexey Ivanovich Korzukhin was a painter known for his genre scenes and landscapes. He studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts (1858–1863), which he left in protest. He was one of the founders of the St. Petersburg Artel of Artists. In 1865, he received the title of Class Artist of the 1st degree, and in 1868, he became an academician. He was a founding member of the Peredvizhniki (Society for Traveling Art Exhibitions) and a full member of the Academy of Arts (from 1893).
