Dubinsky David Alexandrovich

David Alexandrovich Dubinsky was a graphic artist and a corresponding member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR. He graduated from the Moscow State Art Institute (studios of T. G. Goroshchenko and N. E. Radlov). He was an illustrator for classical Russian, foreign, and Soviet literature, as well as a creator of genre drawings, working primarily in black watercolor and tempera. In 1952, he was awarded the USSR State Prize for his illustrations to A. P. Gaidar's story 'Chuk and Gek'. He was awarded medals at the 1958 Brussels World's Fair and the medal 'For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945'. He served as an art editor for Voenmorizdat.
