Yakulov Georgy Bogdanovich

Georgy Bogdanovich Yakulov was a Russian painter, graphic artist, and theater designer. He was associated with the Blue Rose group and the Union of Russian Artists. His work combined an interest in French simultaneism and Italian futurism with a fascination for Oriental exoticism and the style of Persian miniatures. From 1918 to 1919, he taught at VKhUTEMAS. He is known as a theater decorator who designed productions for A. Tairov in Moscow and S. Diaghilev in Paris.
