Reshetnikov Fyodor Pavlovich

Fyodor Pavlovich Reshetnikov (1906–1988) was a Soviet painter and graphic artist, People's Artist of the USSR (1974), and Vice-President of the Academy of Arts of the USSR. He studied at VKhUTEIN under D. S. Moor and S. V. Gerasimov. He participated in Arctic expeditions on the icebreakers 'Sibiryakov' and 'Chelyuskin'. He is known for his genre paintings depicting children, as well as historical-revolutionary works, portraits, and satirical graphics. He was a laureate of the USSR State Prizes for his paintings 'Arrived for the Holidays' and 'For Peace!'.
