Petrovichev Pyotr Ivanovich
1879 — 1947
Pyotr Ivanovich Petrovichev was a landscape painter. He received his professional education at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1892–1903), where he studied under Isaac Levitan and Apollinary Vasnetsov. From 1904, he was a regular participant in exhibitions of the Union of Russian Artists, becoming a member in 1910. In 1906, he was elected a member of the Peredvizhniki. He participated in exhibitions of Russian art in Paris (1906) and New York (1924). From 1937 to 1943, he taught at the Moscow Regional Art College of 1905. He was awarded the medal "For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War."
