Ostroumova-Lebedeva Anna Petrovna

Anna Petrovna Ostroumova-Lebedeva was a graphic artist and painter, and one of the most prominent masters of the Russian school of engraving. She was a People's Artist of the RSFSR (1946) and a full member of the USSR Academy of Arts (1949). She studied at the Baron Stieglitz Central School of Technical Drawing under V. V. Mate and at the Academy of Arts (1892–1895). In 1900, she received the title of artist for her woodcuts. She was a member of the 'World of Art' and 'Four Arts' groups and was active in teaching.
