Kitaykin Evgeny Petrovich

Evgeny Petrovich Kitaykin (born 1926) is a Soviet artist. He began his artistic journey in an art circle at the House of Pioneers in Kaluga. From 1943 to 1945, he studied in the ceramics department at the Moscow Higher School of Art and Industry. He worked as an artist for the Kaluga Association of Artists and as a researcher at the local history museum. In 1949, he entered the Tartu Art Institute. Since 1956, he has worked for the Kaluga branch of the RSFSR Art Fund. His primary genres are portrait and landscape painting, with a focus on still life in his later years. He has participated in zonal and regional exhibitions, including those in Moscow, Tula, Oryol, and the Suhl district (GDR).
