Chupyatov Leonid Terentyevich

Leonid Terentyevich Chupyatov (1890–1941) was a painter, graphic artist, and theater designer. He studied at the Drawing School of the Imperial Society for the Encouragement of the Arts and in the studios of K. S. Petrov-Vodkin. In the 1920s, he was actively involved in the 'World of Art', 'Zhar-Tsvet', and 'Community of Artists' groups. He taught at various educational institutions, and from 1933 to 1941, he worked as a theater designer and consultant at the Bolshoi Drama Theater in Leningrad. His works are represented in the collection of the State Russian Museum.
