Tyranov Alexey Vasilyevich
1808 — 1859
Alexey Vasilyevich Tyranov was a painter known for his portraits, genre scenes, and interior views. A student of A. G. Venetsianov, he studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts (1824–1830). In 1830, he was awarded the Grand Gold Medal of the Society for the Encouragement of Artists for his painting 'Interior Perspective View of the Winter Palace Church.' In 1836, he attended the class of K. P. Bryullov and was named an artist-designate for his work 'Girl with a Tambourine.' He became an academician in 1839 and served as an Academy of Arts pensioner in Italy from 1839 to 1843.
