Terebenev Mikhail Ivanovich

Mikhail Ivanovich Terebenev was a painter and miniaturist, known for his portraits and genre scenes. He studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts from 1803 to 1815. In 1815, he was awarded a large gold medal and a first-degree certificate for the title of class artist for his painting 'Russian Peasant Wedding'. He served as an Academy pensioner from 1815 to 1817. In 1830, he was named an academician for his miniature portrait of the sculptor V. I. Demut-Malinovsky.
