Polienko Ivan Alekseevich

Ivan Alekseevich Polienko is a painter, Honored Artist of Russia, and Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts. He graduated from the V. I. Surikov Moscow State Art Institute (1982, studio of M. M. Kurilko-Ryumin). He is a laureate of the Moscow Prize in Literature and Art (2002) and has participated in numerous exhibitions since 1980. Polienko's painting combines realistic tradition, drama, and a deep philosophical understanding of the urban landscape. His works are held in museums and private collections in Russia, Belgium, Germany, the USA, France, and other countries.
