Levitin Anatoly Pavlovich

Anatoly Pavlovich Levitin (born 1922) is a Soviet painter, People's Artist of the RSFSR, professor, and full member of the Academy of Arts. He graduated from the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in 1951 (Boris Ioganson's studio). He is known for his historical-revolutionary and contemporary paintings, as well as portraits. In 1958, he was awarded a silver medal by the Academy of Arts of the USSR for his works 'Warm Day' (1955–1957) and 'Donbass' (1957). He holds several state awards, including those for his service in World War II.
