Konstantinov Fyodor Denisovich

Fyodor Denisovich Konstantinov (1910–1997) was a Soviet graphic artist, People's Artist of the RSFSR, and Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. In 1935, he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Fine Arts, where he studied under V. A. Favorsky. A master of wood engraving, Konstantinov was known as an illustrator of Russian, Soviet, and foreign literature, as well as an author of easel series on rural labor and portraits of world cultural figures. In 1959, he was awarded a bronze medal at the International Book Art Exhibition in Leipzig for the engraving "Peaceful Fields." He was awarded several USSR state medals.
