Fedosov Nikita Petrovich
1939 — 1992
Nikita Petrovich Fedosov (1939–1992) was a Soviet painter and a master of the Russian realistic landscape. He graduated from the V. I. Surikov Moscow State Art Institute (1962) under D. K. Mochalsky and continued his studies at the Creative Workshops of the Academy of Arts of the USSR under B. V. Ioganson. His work evolved from thematic painting to psychological landscape, making him one of the significant figures in the history of Russian art in the second half of the 20th century. His works are held in the collections of the State Treтьяkov Gallery, the Tver Regional Picture Gallery, the Tula Museum of Fine Arts, and other museum and private collections.
