Wild Rose

The artist Svetlana Shapovalova graduated from the Kiev State Art Institute in 1975, where she studied under V. Shatalin. She has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (NSHU) since 1982. She was an active participant in republican and all-union exhibitions. Shapovalova is recognized as a painter. Her artistic output includes still lifes (such as "Still Life with Vegetables, Fruits, and Flowers in a Ceramic Vase," 1970s) and landscapes; however, she is particularly renowned for her floral motifs, including the work "Wildflowers." Shapovalova's works have appeared at auction; for instance, in 2023, the painting "Wildflowers" was sold at auction in Tokyo. Paintings by Shapovalova are held in numerous private collections both in Russia and abroad.
