Kotov Nikolai Georgievich
1889 — 1968
Nikolai Georgievich Kotov (1889–1968) was a painter and graphic artist. From 1910 to 1912, he studied at the Tomsk Drawing Classes under S. M. Prokhorov, and from 1912 to 1917, at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. He was one of the organizers of the Tomsk section of the Fine Arts (IZO) and the Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia (AKhRR). He worked extensively as a poster artist, primarily in the field of political posters. His works are held in the Russian State Library, the Taganrog Art Gallery, and the Tomsk Regional Museum.
