Schwartz Vyacheslav Grigoryevich

1838 — 1869
Vyacheslav Grigoryevich Schwartz (1838–1869) was a painter and draftsman, a master of historical painting. He studied at the Academy of Arts and abroad. He was awarded the title of Academician of Historical Painting (1865) for his painting 'Palm Sunday in Moscow under Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich'. He was a full member of the Russian Archaeological Society. For his historical canvases, he was repeatedly awarded gold medals, including at the World Exhibition in Paris (1867).
