Kosmin Dmitry Alexandrovich

Dmitry Alexandrovich Kosmin (1925–2003) was a Soviet and Russian painter, People's Artist of the Russian Federation (2000), and Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1970). He studied at the Tashkent Art School and completed his education in Moscow in 1952. A master of landscape painting, he was known for his command of color and the epic quality of his canvases. He also created a cycle of historical and philosophical paintings. His works are held in the State Tretyakov Gallery, various Russian museums, and private collections in Italy, France, the USA, Japan, and England.
