Kamenev Lev Lvovich
1831 — 1886
Lev Lvovich Kamenev was a Russian landscape painter. From 1854 to 1857, he studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture under K.I. Rabus and A.K. Savrasov. The most productive period of his career was the 1860s. In 1869, he was awarded the title of Academician. In 1871, he became one of the founding members of the Peredvizhniki (Society for Traveling Art Exhibitions). Kamenev's landscapes are noted for their poetic quality and deep lyricism in depicting the Russian countryside. His works are held in many museum collections across Russia.
