Ivanov Ivan Alexeyevich
1779 — 1848
Ivan Alexeyevich Ivanov was a graphic artist, painter, architect, and educator. He is known for his illustrations and vignettes for the works of A. S. Pushkin, V. A. Zhukovsky, and I. A. Krylov. He graduated from the Academy of Arts in 1798. From 1817 to 1840, he taught at the Academy and headed the perspective class. In 1830, he was awarded the title of Academician for his painting 'View of the Grand Staircase of the Academy of Arts.'
