Einmann Eduard Yanovich

Eduard Yanovich Einmann was an Estonian painter and graphic artist, People's Artist of the Estonian SSR, and a corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Arts. In 1941, he graduated from the State Higher Art School in Tallinn. From 1944 to 1951, he taught at the Tartu Art Institute, serving as its director from 1948 to 1951. He created a gallery of portraits of his contemporaries and worked in various drawing and engraving techniques. He was a two-time recipient of the Estonian SSR State Prize (1947, 1948). He was awarded the Order of Lenin, two Orders of the Red Banner of Labour, the Order of the Badge of Honour, and USSR medals.
